Summer Fragrance ALERT!!!!! Robert Piguet's Mademoiselle
When Memorial Day comes around, it lets you know Summer is not that far behind. With that in mind, I wanted to write about my new Summer fragrance, Mademoiselle Piguet by the house of Robert Piguet. I purchased this perfume a few weeks back at the Sniffapalooza Spring Fling event in New York City and haven't stopped wearing it since. The representative launched Robert Piguet's new collection, NOUVELLE COLLECTION at Bergdorf Goodman and attendees had the exclusive opportunity to experience the entire collection before its national launch in June, which was pretty exciting! The collection consist of 5 new parfums, Bois Noir, Casbah, Mademoiselle Piguet, Notes, and Oud all of which reflects ones culture or taste. Master Perfumer Aurelien Guichard wanted to appeal to the "globetrotting fragrance aficionado" and I think he did just that. This collection has something for EVERYONE! Only ONE fragrance retailer in a country will receive all 5 fragrances whereas all other retailers will select only one that reflects their key customer base. Bergdorf's in New York City will be the lucky retailer in the US to display all five!
I purchased Mademoiselle Piguet because I have a weakness for bergamot and orange blossom, which all started with Jo Malone. Piguet's combination of orange blossom, florals,and tonka beans as key notes is dead on with my preference. Piguet's Mademoiselle "is delicate and irresistible, innocent and sultry, part Lolita and part Louise Brooks." I like to think that I fall into this description!
My immediate thoughts: A WINNER! (kind of reminds me of their original classic Fracas)
Why: This fragrance is very sweet and I like sweet. It's sweetness is not enough to irriate you. If you do not like a sweet/floral dry down then this is not the scent for you. It's wearable, enjoyable, and very HAPPY. It's definitely long lasting and stays consistent on the skin throughout the day...you smell each note distinctively- Bergamot-Top Notes, Orange, Almond, and Apricot-Middle notes, and Tonka bean-Base notes. It's appropriate for work but better suited for a summer wedding, vacation, shopping with girl friends, attending a family function, dinner with a new beau or your husband, or anywhere/anytime you want to wear it! I'm certain it will compliment your style and your summer! Besides, if today's temperature is any indication of what is to come this summer, you will need this perfume! Sweat and smell fab at the same time!
A true FAVORITE:)
* $165.00 for 100ml. Prices may vary

New Gig!
Elisabeth offered me the opportunity on the spot and I was ecstatic! I was now associated with a brand that had a strong following, an outstanding product, and a wonderful presentation. What made the opportunity sweeter was that I believed in the brand as a consumer first prior to obtaining the freelancing opportunity. My perfume collection include Kilian's, Straight to Heaven's White Cristal, Liaisons Dangereuses Typical Me, Beyond Love Prohibited, the ADDICTIVE Black to Black Aphrodisiac, and my newest addition from the Arabian Nights collection Incense Oud.
Thus far, my freelance experience has been really cool. I'm elated to go to work, I'm excited to introduce the brand to new consumers, I appreciate conversing with current ones, and converting those familiar types who may be in the market for something uniquely different but haven't discovered "it" yet.

In a previous post, I shared that I was working part-time at Saks 5th Avenue on the 3rd floor in their designer collections department. After a few commutes into New York City and weekends where I wasn't selling a Carolina Herrera $6,000 dress or anything for that matter, I decided I needed to take matters into my own hands. I knew I wanted to work on the 1st floor in fragrances but I didn't know where to start or who to ask. I was relatively new to the store and hadn’t made any connections yet. I went home one night and scrambled through some business cards. I sent an email to Elisabeth Noel Jones, CEO of Kilian perfumes. I met her at a meet and greet with Kilian Hennessey in December at Bergdorf Goodman. Within 24 hours she replied to my email asking me to come to Saks a couple of days later for an informal interview and the rest, as they say, is history!
